Medical Lab Tech Hours:
Per Diem Shift:
Flexible shifts and hours, 7:00am
  • 3:30pm, 3:00pm
  • 11:30pm

  • Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.
Southcoast Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Laboratory or designee, perform all routine laboratory analysis with accuracy and precision and according to written procedures. Identify all critical or unexpected results and verify results according to established procedures. Notify Supervisor or Clinical Specialist as appropriate. Prepare samples for analysis. Draw correct specimen and volume. Assign accession numbers. Maintain workstation in a neat and orderly fashion. Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science required. One year of experience in multiple laboratory disciplines including Chemistry, Hematology and Blood Bank preferred. Medical Laboratory Technician certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or equivalent certification is required within two years from date of hire and if applicable maintain certification through ASCP or comparable approved agency. Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the
COVID 19
virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
Compensation:
Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
