JOB SUMMARY

Under administrative direction, obtains electroencephalographic tracings and measurements of brain function with a maximum understanding of the patient's pathological condition and physical characteristics to optimize the examination for both EEG and multimodality evoked potential testing. Provides appropriate clinical and technical information to the physician to facilitate accurate interpretation. Provides testing to all patient populations, including children, newborns through adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. Performs job tasks in the Ambulatory Care Center as well as the inpatient acute care setting.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education & Training :

Completion of an AMA approved course of study in electroencephalography. Certification as a Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist or eligible for registry. BCLS certification required.

Work Orientation & Experience:

Prior experience in the field of electroencephalography with experience in performance of Evoked Potential testing preferred. Any combination of experience and training which provides the requisite skills, knowledge, and ability.
