This is an entry-level position with straightforward responsibilities. The primary role is to collect urine toxicology specimens from patients, complete the required paperwork, and prepare specimens for laboratory testing and transportation. No previous laboratory experience is required. Training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in working in a healthcare or laboratory environment. Responsibilities Collect urine specimens from patients for toxicology testing Verify patient information and properly label each specimen Complete laboratory requisition forms and required paperwork Ensure required information, dates, and signatures are completed before specimens are submitted Prepare and package specimens for transportation to the laboratory Follow proper specimen handling and chain-of-custody procedures when applicable Maintain a clean and organized specimen collection area Protect patient privacy and confidentiality Follow HIPAA requirements and company policies Communicate professionally with patients, medical assistants, providers, and laboratory staff Identify missing or incomplete paperwork before specimens are submitted Perform other basic specimen collection and administrative duties as needed Qualifications No previous laboratory experience required No specialized laboratory education required Training will be provided High school diploma or equivalent preferred Reliable and punctual Strong attention to detail Good communication and interpersonal skills Professional and respectful when interacting with patients Ability to follow written instructions and procedures Comfortable completing basic paperwork and verifying patient information Ability to maintain patient confidentiality Basic computer skills preferred
