We are currently expanding our laboratory team and are seeking motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Clinical Laboratory Technicians / Medical Laboratory Technicians to join our growing operation. Job Responsibilities The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing routine clinical laboratory testing while maintaining a high standard of accuracy, quality, and patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities include:
Perform routine clinical laboratory testing on patient specimens Perform testing in areas including: Hematology Chemistry Coagulation Urinalysis Hemoglobin A1C Receive, identify, accession, process, and prepare patient specimens Operate automated laboratory analyzers and related equipment Perform daily quality control and review QC results before patient testing Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting as required Identify questionable or abnormal laboratory results and follow established procedures Document and report laboratory results accurately and promptly Recognize and communicate critical laboratory values according to laboratory policy Assist with specimen rejection, recollection, and problem resolution Maintain proper laboratory documentation and testing records Follow CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and laboratory safety requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment Assist with reagent and laboratory supply inventory Work collaboratively with phlebotomists, laboratory staff, couriers, nursing facilities, and healthcare providers Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement activities Laboratory Equipment Experience with any of the following equipment is a plus: Sysmex hematology analyzers QuidelOrtho VITROS chemistry analyzers Siemens coagulation analyzers Tosoh G8 A1C analyzer Siemens Clinitek urinalysis systems Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) Training may be provided on laboratory-specific instrumentation and procedures.
Qualifications Preferred qualifications include:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field MLT, MT, MLS, or equivalent laboratory experience preferred ASCP certification preferred but not required for all positions Previous clinical laboratory experience strongly preferred Knowledge of laboratory quality control and basic troubleshooting Ability to accurately follow SOPs and laboratory procedures Strong attention to detail Good organizational and time-management skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment What We're Looking For We are looking for individuals who are: Reliable and punctual Detail-oriented Focused on patient safety Comfortable taking responsibility for accurate laboratory results Able to prioritize STAT and time-sensitive testing Willing to learn new laboratory instrumentation and procedures Interested in growing with an expanding clinical laboratory Why Join Sure Cure Labs?
