Days Status:
36 hours per week As a Med Lab Technician, you will perform select procedures on blood and other body fluids or specimens under the supervision of laboratory technologists, leaders, and supervisors. Your work will directly support patient care by providing accurate and timely laboratory results, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our laboratory services. What You Will Do Perform select procedures on blood and other body fluids or specimens according to defined protocols. Utilize manual techniques and laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results. Operate information systems to record and manage laboratory data. Perform phlebotomy as needed to collect samples for testing. Qualifications Required Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology, or Laboratory Science Required. Alternatively, meeting the educational requirements of #3 below. OR MLT certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) desired or completion of a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements. Alternatively, meeting the requirements of #3 below. OR Successful completion an Associates or Bachelor's degree that includes at least (5)college courses from among the following: Anatomy, Biology, Chemistry (inorganic or organic), Physics, Nursing, Statistics, Physiology, Veterinary sciences, Mathematics, Introduction to Laboratory Sciences, Pathology, Microscopic Anatomy (Histology), Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology (Blood Banking), Microbiology, Urinalysis, or Coagulation. Course work outside of the US must be verified by NACES approved credentialing evaluation service. Preferred Qualifications MLT certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA). Completion of a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements.
