We are seeking a Paint Laboratory Technician to support paint testing, color development, and brand color validation activities. The technician will prepare paint samples, perform laboratory testing, maintain test equipment, document results, and coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to support timely completion of paint development projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare paint panels and samples for laboratory testing and evaluation. Perform routine testing for color, gloss, adhesion, corrosion, humidity, and paint performance. Operate laboratory equipment such as color spectrophotometers, WOM, corrosion chambers, humidity cabinets, ovens, and water immersion tanks. Record and maintain accurate test data, project files, and laboratory records. Monitor ongoing tests and report abnormalities or deviations. Track color standard requests, test queues, project status, and deadlines. Provide weekly status updates to cross-functional teams. Follow up with internal teams regarding incomplete test requests. Communicate with suppliers regarding sample/material timelines. Maintain organized documentation of test results, communications, and supplier responses. Support scheduling and workload management for laboratory activities. Required Skills Laboratory testing experience, preferably in paint, coatings, materials, or manufacturing. Experience with paint testing and color evaluation is preferred. Ability to operate and maintain laboratory test equipment. Strong data recording, documentation, and organizational skills. Good communication and follow-up skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple testing activities.
