Description:
The client is seeking a Laboratory Technician II for client site. The Successful Candidate will be responsible for trace and ultratrace elemental analyses of Electronics Specialty Gases, supporting customers in the semiconductor industry. Our Chemical Lab specializes in QC/QA and Failure Analysis and ultra-trace level contamination in liquids and gases used in the electronics industry. We utilize Gas Chromatography principles, FTIR and moisture analyzers as main instruments in our laboratory. The Laboratory Technician will work in an exciting, fast-paced and dynamic environment and be part of an enthusiastic team, passionate about providing quality data and answers to our customers in a timely manner. This individual will be responsible for running routine samples analysis, analytical data entry. The Laboratory Technician will closely work with the Lab Maintenance Team perform basic to advanced maintenance and repair on lab equipment. The selected candidate will be part of the Chemical Lab at our Morrisville, PA facility.
Responsibilities :
Ensure safe completion of all tasks and keeping all related training up to date. High volume analysis of semiconductor grade gases for trace impurities by use of GC, FTIR and other analytical instrumentation. Participate in other analyses as assigned to the analytical laboratory. Perform calibration and selected preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment. Communicate test results in a timely fashion matter to support the manufacturing process. Interpretations of analytical data and report generation. Participate in the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results. Cross-train on a variety of analytical lab tests (product performance tests, GC, FTIR, etc.) Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results. Active participation in optimization of sample cycle time and continuous laboratory improvements. Work with laboratory personnel and contacts to ensure supplies are maintained and instrument maintenance is appropriate for the laboratory. Build knowledge base of laboratory instruments, including operation, troubleshooting and repair Duties include safe handling of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals.
Requirements :
Associate's Degree in Chemistry. 1 year of analytical lab experience. Prior experience in Gas Chromatography, FTIR and Compressed gas cylinders analysis is preferred. Proficient in computer skills such as LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google platform, and spotfire or other SPC graphing tools is a plus. Ability to be flexible and to switch tasks according to customer needs and priorities. Good written and oral communication skills. Must be able to work 2nd, some holiday & weekend coverage required. Good computer skills are required (analytical instrumentation software, Word, Excel, etc.) Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills. Must have initiative and be self-motivated. Good organizational and record keeping skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Experience with electronic gases would be ideal and toxic and flammable gases : silane, diborane, dcs dichlorosilane, nitrogen, oxygen, and silium compressed gases.
