Laboratory Technician (Minerals)

Role Overview of Laboratory Technician:

Under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor, you will process client samples through the laboratory. This covers sample preparation, analysis, recording results, and preparing reports.

Key Responsibilities of Laboratory Technician:

Conduct sampling, testing, and analytical activities safely and accurately. Prepare samples using approved digestion and dissolution methods. Operate laboratory equipment including Orbis crushers and LM2 pulverizes. Perform primary crushing, riffle splitting, subsampling, sieving, and compositing. Maintain accurate records using laboratory worksheets and Excel spreadsheets. Comply with all OHSE requirements, report hazards, and maintain a clean workspace.

Requirements of Laboratory Technician:

12 year high school certificate or equivalent. Prior experience in a minerals laboratory with sample preparation exposure. (preferred) Knowledge of laboratory procedures, standards, and quality systems. Experience with remote site laboratories or rotating rosters is a plus. Basic laboratory bench skills and basic-to-intermediate MS Office proficiency. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail. Valid Driver's License; a Forklift License is desirable. Work Schedule of Laboratory Technician:

5 days on 4 days off 4 days on 5 days off Rotating Shift Days to Nights•

Compensation of Laboratory Technician:

$20.00 - $25.00 (depending on experience) Healthcare, Vision, Dental 401K matching Paid Time Off #IND55

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
