Job Description Summary:
Analyze finished products and raw materials at Nisus to ensure both active ingredient contents and product quality is within specification. The ideal candidate would have a background in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field who enjoys laboratory work, data analysis, and attention to detail. Core Tasks (One Task per Line): Use a range of software, techniques, and instruments to carry out analysis; techniques include HPLC UV-Vis, ICP-OES, XRF, wet titration, laser diffraction, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry. Perform quality audits & investigations Analyze and interpret data. Ensure data is accurately recorded in accordance with guidelines. Adhere to established health and safety standards including proper laboratory hygiene. Report and Present analytical results. Support research and procurement groups as needed with preparing samples, analyzing new matrices, and qualifying new suppliers. Assist department as needed with method development, quality program development, and other projects. Test chemical samples and incoming packaging for quality control. Skills Required (One Skill per Line): Highly organized Strong time management skills Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite A logical and independent mind Attention to detail Teamwork skills Strong communication skills, both written and oral Qualifications (Training/Education, Experience and Credentials): Bachelor's or associate degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or related field\ No experience necessary; on-the-job training provided.
Schedule:
Training will be completed on the day shift to provide hands-on instruction and support. Upon successful completion of training the regular schedule will be 4:00pm-3:00am. This position requires the ability to work the established night-shift schedule. Once training is completed and you transition to the permanent night shift pay will increase to $22 per hour.
