Job Description
COLOR LANE
TECHNICIANMonday - Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, mandatory overtime as needed$18.25 per hour The Color Lane Technician supports manufacturing operations by operating packaging equipment, handling finished products, performing quality-control testing, and maintaining accurate production and laboratory records. This position is ideal for a safety-focused, detail-oriented individual with manufacturing experience who is comfortable working with production equipment, quality testing, and material handling.
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONSSet up, operate, monitor, and adjust packaging and production equipment.

Operate equipment including baggers, palletizers, heat sealers, banders, scales, sweepers, and forklifts.

Bag, stack, palletize, seal, and prepare finished products for shipment.

Perform product blending, coating, rework, and other production processes as assigned.

Collect production and raw-material samples for quality testing.

Perform established physical and chemical tests to verify product specifications and quality standards.

Identify, document, and properly handle non-conforming or off-spec products.

Maintain accurate production, laboratory, inspection, and quality-control records.

Enter test results and production information into computer databases and spreadsheets.

Prepare and distribute Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customer shipments.

Maintain, inspect, and calibrate laboratory testing equipment as required.

Monitor laboratory supplies and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Follow established quality procedures, including applicable
ISO 9001
standards.

Follow all plant safety procedures, wear required PPE, and actively participate in safety programs.

Maintain good housekeeping throughout assigned production and laboratory areas.

Assist with troubleshooting basic industrial equipment issues and complete other duties as assigned. 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required.

Associate degree in Science or equivalent related experience preferred.1-3 years of Quality Assurance laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.3-5 years of manufacturing experience preferred.1-3 years of forklift operating experience and/or forklift certification preferred.

Basic knowledge of industrial equipment troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, spreadsheets, and file management.

Basic math skills, including percentages and product specification calculations.

Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout, confined-space entry, and hot-work permitting preferred. #psbrownwood
