United States, Texas, Houston Sep 01, 2026 A Lab Pack Technician at SET Environmental is responsible to: Handle, pack, transport and dispose hazardous laboratory chemicals and wastes under supervision of Lead Field Chemist/Supervisor
Participate in Household Waste Day collecting and preparing as needed
Have some knowledge of DOT regulations, EPA codes, manifesting, and LDR regulations preferred
Complete paperwork (lab pack, safety, and logs) properly and timely
Assist in maintaining inventory and storage of hazardous materials in accordance with appropriate regulations and SET policies, practices, and procedures at HSFO 10-day
Follow and understand all Health & Safety/Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) procedures
Collect samples on customer sites for analysis
Operate forklifts to move materials for storage and loading and unloading
Follow all policies as defined in the SET Employee Handbook
Perform other miscellaneous duties as necessary
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related sciences strongly preferred
Obtain and keep current all certifications/licenses required (I.e., 40 Hour Hazwoper, forklift, etc.)
Ability to manipulate a 55-gallon drum
Ability to work safely and follow outlined policies and procedures
