Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-day operation and maintenance of laboratory instrumentation and sample preparation of patient specimens. Positivity, team-work, and effective communication with supervisors on a daily basis is expected and required. Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, including the tracking and maintenance of patient identifiers throughout the testing process. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on immunoassay analyzer. Adhere to laboratory quality control policies including performing and documenting all QC activities and performing instrument and procedural calibrations. Follow laboratory procedures for specimen processing. Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and correct the problem or notify the appropriate supervisor. Document thoroughly all laboratory activities including corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from established performance specifications.
Educational and experience requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science (i.e. Chemistry) Previous laboratory work-experience, preferred
