This role is responsible for performing n-butane hydrocarbon extractions to produce high-quality cannabis concentrates. This is not a leadership position, but as we grow and add additional shifts, opportunities for advancement into a lead or supervisory role may become available. We're happy to train the right candidate — some prior extraction or lab experience is preferred but not required. What matters most is a strong safety mindset, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Responsibilities Operate and maintain closed-loop hydrocarbon (n-butane) extraction equipment Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extraction, purging, and post-processing Monitor extraction runs for quality, consistency, and yield Handle and store flammable solvents in accordance with safety and fire code requirements Perform routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting Maintain accurate batch records, logs, and documentation for compliance and traceability Follow all state (WSLCB) and local cannabis processing regulations Adhere to strict safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and hazardous materials handling Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant lab environment Collaborate with other team members and report any safety or quality concerns promptly Qualifications Must be 21 years of age or older High school diploma or GED required Prior experience in hydrocarbon or other extraction methods preferred, but not required — entry-level candidates welcome Strong understanding of lab safety practices, especially around flammable solvents (or willingness to learn) Ability to follow detailed written procedures and maintain precise records Comfortable working in an environment with strict safety and regulatory requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control Ability to lift up to 40lbs and stand for extended periods Must be able to pass a background check and comply with Washington State cannabis worker permitting requirements (WSLCB) Preferred (Not Required) Experience with closed-loop hydrocarbon extraction systems Knowledge of cannabinoid/terpene chemistry Familiarity with traceability software Why Join Us Opportunity to grow with a company in an expanding industry Potential for advancement into a leadership role as we add shifts Hands-on training and mentorship provided Be part of a small, focused team where your work directly impacts product quality
