Type:

full-time Agility Partners is seeking a qualified Hardware Technician to fill an open position with a Fortune 15 company based in the greater Seattle area. This role will support a prototype center focused on assembling and validating specialized consumer electronics. The technician will work closely with engineers to assemble, disassemble, modify, and inspect laptop devices using precision hand tools. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in consumer electronics prototyping while contributing to a high-visibility hardware project. Responsibilities Assemble and disassemble laptops and electronic devices using precision hand tools, including screwdrivers and tweezers. Install, replace, and rework hardware components while following engineering instructions and standard operating procedures. Perform functional checks, basic troubleshooting, and quality inspections to ensure devices meet established requirements. Document issues, follow safety procedures, and deliver completed devices according to established quality and production schedules. Qualifications 2+ years of hands-on experience using precision hand tools such as screwdrivers, tweezers, or similar tools. 5+ years of English speaking and reading experience with the ability to understand technical instructions and documentation. Experience with electronics assembly, laptop repair, hardware rework, or mechanical assembly. Strong attention to detail and steady hands when working with small or delicate components. Experience working in a lab, prototype, engineering, or consumer electronics environment is preferred. Demonstrated ability to follow technical documentation, SOPs, and detailed assembly instructions with minimal supervision. Background in building, repairing, or making precision products, including personal computer building or similar hands-on projects, is highly preferred.
