Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and make a meaningful difference in patient care! Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care by monitoring vital signs, performing physical examinations, and assessing patient needs with precision and empathy. Administer medications and injections, including IV infusions, following strict protocols to ensure safety and effectiveness. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and basic medical imaging procedures. Manage complex care tasks including catheterization, tube feeding, ventilator management, and wound suturing to support patient recovery. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and providing specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care for geriatric patients. Respond promptly to urgent situations such as acute pain episodes or emergency room triage, demonstrating expertise in airway management and first aid. Skills Proven experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or pediatric patients in settings like hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or assisted living communities. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and infection control protocols. Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, medication administration, and sterile technique to ensure safe patient care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and efficient workflow management. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and vital sign monitoring with attention to detail. Experience working in acute care environments including ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
