This is a travel requirement, candidates must be 70 miles far from California City, CA 93505

Job Summary:

Deliver basic nursing care by executing physician orders, conducting sick call and pill call, assisting with examinations and treatments, and performing clinical procedures within the LPN scope of practice. Administer and document medications, maintain medical supplies and equipment, respond to emergencies, ensure infection control, and accurately document all patient care in accordance with facility policies. Provide nursing care to inmates/residents while supporting the daily operations of the medical department and maintaining a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Assist with the delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of medical services while maintaining confidentiality of medical records and accurate clinical documentation. Observe inmate/resident health status, administer medications, maintain inventories, inspect the medical unit for safety and contraband, and ensure compliance with established procedures. Prepare reports, maintain operational records, interpret medical and legal documents, and support investigations, court-related requests, and accreditation standards (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO). Communicate effectively with staff, providers, inmates/residents, and administration, respond to emergencies, coordinate inmate movement for medical care, and promote a safe and secure healthcare environment.

Required Experience:

One years Practical Nursing experience is Required.

Licensed:

California State LPN License

• Required California State Driving License

• Required Certifications:

  BLS from AHA
• Required.
