About Us We are a growing private vocational college in the City of Industry dedicated to preparing the next generation of compassionate and highly skilled nurses. Our mission is to provide high-quality, hands-on nursing education that equips students with the knowledge, clinical experience, and confidence to succeed in today's healthcare environment. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and visionary Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our Vocational Nursing Program. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a nurse educator who is passionate about teaching, mentoring faculty, ensuring regulatory excellence, and fostering student success. Position Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) provides academic and administrative leadership for the Vocational Nursing Program. The DON is responsible for maintaining compliance with California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) regulations and applicable accreditation standards while promoting instructional excellence, faculty development, and continuous program improvement. Responsibilities Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Vocational Nursing Program. Collaborate with faculty and administration to support program growth and student success. Teach nursing theory and clinical courses as needed. Ensure ongoing compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards. Lead curriculum development, review, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee faculty scheduling, mentoring, supervision, and performance evaluations. Coordinate and maintain partnerships with clinical training facilities. Support student achievement by promoting high academic and clinical standards. Foster a collaborative, professional, and student-centered learning environment. Participate in program planning, regulatory reporting, accreditation activities, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEducation Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution ( required ) Graduate coursework in Nursing, Education, Administration, or a related field ( preferred ) Licensure Current, active, and unencumbered California Registered Nurse (RN) license ( required ) Experience Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in a Board-approved Vocational Nursing program, including both theory and clinical instruction. Minimum of 5 years of experience providing direct patient care as a Registered Nurse, or equivalent experience approved by the BVNPT. Minimum of 3 years of nursing program management or leadership experience. Thorough knowledge of BVNPT regulations, nursing education, curriculum development, and accreditation requirements. Preferred Skills Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience mentoring faculty and leading diverse teams. Commitment to educational excellence and student success. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clinical partners and community stakeholders. Schedule Full-time 40 hours per week Monday through Friday In-person (City of Industry campus)
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
