Pay Rate:

$46.50/hr - $53.90/hr (All Inclusive) About the Role We are seeking a dependable, patient-centered Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality nursing care within a secure correctional healthcare environment in Ione, CA. Must be licensed in CA. This role is ideal for LVNs who excel in fast-paced, structured settings and are motivated by meaningful, mission-driven work. You will perform medication administration, treatments, screenings, monitoring, documentation, and collaborate with nursing and custody staff to ensure safety, compliance, and consistent care delivery. This assignment offers a strong opportunity to expand your skills in correctional and behavioral health while working with a supportive multidisciplinary team. Requirements Active California LVN license Minimum 1 year of recent LVN experience in correctional, psychiatric, long-term care, urgent care, clinic, or acute-care settings Current BLS certification from AHA only Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check and full correctional security clearance Strong communication, observation, and de-escalation skills Skills and Competencies Patient-centered approach with calm professionalism in high-pressure situations Adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and emotional resilience Effective collaboration with RNs, mental health staff, and custody personnel Knowledge of correctional safety standards, emergency procedures, and infection control protocols
