Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference every day by providing essential care to a medically fragile student. An immediate opening is available for a compassionate and reliable LPN to support a child requiring specialized nursing attention throughout the academic year and into June (Monday-Thursday). This contract opportunity places you at the heart of pediatric care within a school-based environment, where your clinical skills and commitment will be valued by students, families, and educational professionals alike.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current and valid LPN or LVN licensure Previous experience in a school setting or working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Demonstrated expertise with G-Tubes, oxygen administration, and oral suctioning Comfortable with complex care needs and able to respond calmly in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and documentation skills High degree of reliability, empathy, and professionalism
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver daily nursing care to a medically fragile child, including G-Tube management, oxygen support, and oral suctioning as prescribed Closely monitor signs, symptoms, and changes in the student's condition; respond quickly to emergencies or health concerns Collaborate with educators, therapists, and family members to support the student's safety and academic participation Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with medical and school policies Educate staff as needed on the student's medical needs and emergency procedures This contract role is designed to cover the full 180-day academic calendar and extend through June (Mondays through Thursdays).
