Night and Weekend Shift Differential Job Title :
Licensed Practical Nurse
POSITION SUMMARY
Provides residents with nursing services and administers medications and treatment in accordance with physicians' orders within state licensure regulations.
SHIFT:
Full Time and Part Time
OVERNIGHT

Some leadership roles are eligible to receive annual bonuses. All team members have the potential to receive spot bonuses and other incentive awards. We are looking for the right person to grow with this community as we grow as a company. Offering $250 bonus at 90 day and $250 bonus at 6 months
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Assists in maintaining a physical, social and psychological environment in the best interests of residents. Monitors residents within state licensure regulations; may supervise and direct resident assistants where allowed by state licensure regulations. Assists in writing service plans based on resident needs. Obtains and administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician. Documents and reviews medication and treatment sheets for accuracy and compliance with physician orders, professional standards, federal and state regulations and company policy. Monitors responses to treatment plans. Possesses knowledge of medication interactions and notifies Resident Care Coordinator/HeaIth Care Coordinator of any occurrences. Counts controlled substances with off going nurse or resident assistant; secures and corrects reconciliation of controlled substances during shift. Assures cleanliness and organization of medicine supply room and security of discontinued medicine in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy. Assists with discharge process relevant to medication/treatment orders. Possesses knowledge of OSHA regulations and infection control standards. Follows policies and procedures to ensure resident safety. Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three to six months related experience preferred and/or training in direct service with older adults, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In accordance with state law, may need to possess current state certification and follow regulations to maintain license currency. Knowledge of dementia particularly of the Alzheimer's type is helpful.
