Job Description
Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a vital role providing dedicated care and support to an inspiring 5th grade student for the 2026-2027 school year. As an LPN working in a school environment, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the health, comfort, and safety of this young learner each day. This contract opportunity involves a unique one-on-one assignment, allowing you to make a daily impact while developing meaningful professional skills.
Required Skills and Experience:
Active Georgia LPN license Previous experience delivering 1:1 care for pediatric patients, especially in a school or educational environment Proficiency managing g-tube/J-tube feeding, supplemental oxygen, seizure protocols, oral suctioning, medication administration, and asthma management Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and other education professionals Ability to start early mornings (meeting student at home), and flexibility to adapt to daily routines Commitment to implementing individualized healthcare plans per IEP and physician directives
Role Responsibilities:
Meet the student at home at 6:30 am; accompany on the bus ride to and from school Administer daily medical care, including g-tube/J-tube feeding, oxygen use, vital sign monitoring, seizure response, and oral suctioning as needed Monitor and respond to the student's health needs throughout the school day Communicate clearly with family members and school staff to ensure continuity of care Maintain accurate health records and document all interventions per policy This is an on-site position, working Monday through Friday, approximately 37.5 hours each week—an incredible way to develop deeper clinical experience in a supportive educational setting.
