Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse to provide expert care for a one-year-old child in Bridgeview. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a young patient's health and well-being through attentive, personalized nursing care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing, with experience working with infants and young children, ensuring safe and effective health management. Duties Monitor and assess the child's vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, ensuring accurate documentation of all findings. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including injections, IV infusions, and medication management tailored for infants. Provide specialized care such as tube feeding, catheter care, and respiratory support when necessary. Collaborate with family members and caregivers to educate them on health needs, medication administration, and safety procedures. Maintain detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA confidentiality policies. Respond promptly to emergency situations or acute changes in the child's condition with appropriate triage and intervention skills. Assist with developmental assessments and coordinate with healthcare teams for ongoing medical evaluations or specialist consultations. Qualifications Valid RN (Registered Nurse) license or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) license with current certification; pediatric nursing experience preferred. Demonstrated experience working with infants or young children, especially in pediatric or neonatal settings. Knowledge of pediatric pharmacology, IV infusion techniques, and basic life support (BLS). Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is highly desirable. Strong understanding of pediatric physiology, developmental milestones, and safety protocols for infants. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently while providing compassionate care.
