Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Company-Paid Life Insurance Critical Illness Insurance Short-Term Disability Insurance Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Insurance 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan On-Demand Pay Option Paid Time Off (PTO) Tuition Reimbursement Program Duties and Responsibilities Provide total nursing care to residents on the assigned unit during the shift as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) Participate in developing and implementing individualized care plans alongside the interdisciplinary healthcare team Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and evaluate their effectiveness Maintain an environment that promotes residents' physical, social, emotional, and psychological well-being Educate residents and families regarding care plans, medications, treatments, and medical procedures Monitor nursing team member performance and assist with coaching, development, evaluation, and corrective action when appropriate Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and ensure assigned duties are completed accurately and timely Remain current on facility policies, procedures, infection prevention practices, and continuing nursing education Recognize, assess, and promptly respond to significant changes in resident condition Accurately document resident care, treatments, observations, and responses in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements Serve as Charge Nurse by answering questions, resolving issues, and supporting clinical decision-making during the shift Follow all facility safety policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident care Skills and Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing education program Active Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing No prior abuse convictions Previous skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Ability to follow facility policies, maintain resident safety, and deliver compassionate, resident-centered care Ability to work effectively with diverse resident populations, including elderly and cognitively impaired individuals Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation Ready to make a difference as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Registered Nurse (RN) with ALIYA of Palatine?
