Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will support patient recovery, comfort, and well-being through skilled nursing interventions, medication administration, and thorough assessments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' lives while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient conditions, monitoring vital signs, and performing physical examinations with precision. Administer medications and injections accurately following physician orders and safety protocols, including IV infusions and catheterizations. Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, processing, and medical imaging procedures. Manage patient documentation efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies. Support patients with complex needs such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, and behavioral health management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities. Provide emergency response care including first aid, airway management, ventilator support, and acute pain management in accordance with clinical guidelines. Experience Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the applicable state or jurisdiction. Demonstrated experience working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (including ICU or Level I Trauma Center), nursing homes, skilled nursing facilities, or outpatient clinics. Proven expertise in critical care environments including emergency medicine, ICU experience, or trauma centers is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation. Experience working with specialized populations such as individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring hospice or palliative care. Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for procedures like suturing or spinal taps is advantageous. Strong understanding of long-term care regulations, infection control practices, and physical assessment techniques to ensure optimal patient outcomes. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
