Job Description

Step into a crucial, rewarding role supporting students with significant medical needs in a vibrant educational setting. This contract position is ideal for an LPN/LVN with a passion for pediatric care and the confidence to navigate a complex school environment. You'll be working at a specialized site serving approximately 50 students, contributing to a dedicated nursing team with robust clinical collaboration. As a classroom-based nurse, your day will center on supporting students throughout their school routines. You'll handle a range of responsibilities including feeding (especially for students using g-tubes), toileting, monitoring and management of seizures, mobility assistance (including lifting and wheelchair transfers), and responding to emergent medical needs as they arise. Your presence will make a lasting difference to the well-being and daily success of each student in your care.

Qualifications/Experience:

Active LPN or LVN license. Previous experience in pediatrics, community health, or a school setting is highly preferred. Skilled in g-tube feeding, mobility support, and seizure management. Calm, adaptable demeanor and commitment to providing compassionate, dignified care. Physical capability for lifting/transfers. Able to work collaboratively as part of a small, supportive clinical team. Reliable and available for full-time, MondayFriday shifts from 8:30am4:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver one-on-one and group nursing care within classrooms. Administer feedings, medications, and treatments per individualized care plans. Document all interventions clearly and accurately in student health records. Communicate with teaching staff and other nurses to ensure seamless care.
