Summary As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Nicks Health Care Center, you will be vital in delivering compassionate care to our elderly patients. This position is essential in ensuring high standards of health and well-being while fostering a supportive environment for both patients and their families. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Assist with daily living activities for patients, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Monitor patient health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding care plans. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and care strategies. Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols within the facility. Qualifications Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice. Experience in senior care or geriatrics is highly preferred. Strong skills in IV insertion, suturing, and patient monitoring. Knowledge of ICD-9 coding is a plus but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
