This contract role is based near Bainbridge, NY, focusing on an 8-year-old in 3rd grade who needs skilled, compassionate nursing support throughout the school day. You will play a vital part in ensuring the students safety and well-being, allowing them to fully participate in their educational experience.

Key Qualifications:

Current, active LPN/LVN license in New York state (required) Recent nursing experience, preferably with pediatrics or within a school environment Confident in caring for a tracheostomy and Passy-Muir valve, or willingness to learn Ability to provide 1:1 care and build rapport with children Comfortable accompanying and supervising the student on school transportation Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and school personnel

Role Responsibilities:

Meet the student at their home each weekday morning Accompany the student on the bus to and from school and ensure a safe commute Deliver attentive, skilled nursing care throughout the school day, including trach and Passy-Muir valve management Support the students daily activities, assisting with health needs as they arise Collaborate with the school nurse, who will provide break coverage Maintain detailed documentation of care provided Ensure a nurturing, supportive environment in both home and school settings This assignment follows the school calendar, Monday through Friday, approximately 7:15 AM 3:15 PM, with a targeted start date of September 15, 2026.
