  • Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance quality of service and care offered to patients in a private physician practice.
  • Administer immunizations and injections
  • Prepare patients for examination and treatment by escorting them from the waiting area to the exam rooms
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaints, vital signs, medications and allergies.
  • Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and/or licensed nurse practitioner.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete appropriate paperwork as directed by provider(s)
  • Document ongoing patient telephone calls, respond to patient's questions, and communicate medical information effectively with providers for patient plan of care.
  • Prepare rooms before and after patients, sterilize (when needed) and prepare instruments and equipment.
  • Follow protocols
  • Maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
  • Degree or certifications from an accredited school of nursing
Current New York State Practical Nurse License Schedule:
  • 40 hours per week is considered full time.
  • Monday to Friday
  • Day and Evening shifts
