9652891-13865 Job Description A skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is sought for a meaningful, contract role supporting an elementary student. This position involves providing thorough, one-on-one nursing care to an 8-year-old in 3rd grade who requires tracheostomy and Passy-Muir valve management. The assignment is based near Windsor, NY, with the student residing east of Binghamton. This opportunity allows for a direct impact on a young learners daily experience by ensuring their medical needs are met so they can thrive academically and personally.

Key Details:

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, approximately 7:15 AM to 3:15 PM The nurse will meet the student at home each morning and accompany them to and from school on the bus Provide continuous 1:1 care throughout the school day; school nurse will provide support during scheduled breaks Start date anticipated for September 15, 2026

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

Active LPN or LVN license in New York Experience with pediatric patientsespecially with tracheostomy care and Passy-Muir valve management Able to remain attentive and compassionate during lengthy shifts Comfortable working in both a home and school environment as well as riding a school bus Effective communication with the school nurse, teachers, and family members Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
