Nestled on a scenic, wooded hilltop in Argyle, near Denton, our expert clinical and medical professionals specialize in substance use disorders, mental health, dual diagnosis and poly-addiction, compulsive sexual behavior disorders, co-occurring disordered eating, and the underlying trauma often at the core of these issues. Since 1996, we've been making "miracles happen on the hill." Because research supports a longer length of stay and a continuum of care are more likely to support long-term recovery, Santé's levels of care include, but are not limited to: medical detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient (day and evening), transitional living, maintaining proper boundaries course, family programming, outpatient clinic, and relapse prevention through lifelong alumni services. This position provides nursing care for the residential patients by monitoring the patients' safety, interacting with the patients, and providing documentation on patient activities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Coordinates shift assignments between MHTs and nursing personnel ensuring adequate coverage for patient safety and special assignments. Addresses noncompliance issues as they occur on shift. Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic programming for patients. Assists in the admission of new patients and performs assigned procedures for the comfort and well being of patients. Gathers information and makes observations relevant to patient conditions, and contributes to the development of nursing care plans. Implements a plan for the care of a group of patients assigned on a given work tour. Administers medications and performs treatments which are not reserved to the registered nurse as indicated. Observes patients for reaction to drugs, detoxification symptoms, medical concerns, or any other unusual condition and reports findings to registered nurse and/or physician. Assists in examinations of patients and diagnostic procedures. Assists in teaching and planning for patients' relating to medication and other topics as needed. Maintains proper documentation and records. Assists in records reviews as assigned. Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Texas; LVN, RN. Certified in CPR. Working knowledge of the mental health field and addiction related issues are preferred.
