Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current conditions, and treatment goals. Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment plans, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout sessions. Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment notes and progress updates in compliance with privacy standards. Stay informed about the latest massage therapy techniques and industry best practices to continually enhance your skills. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with diverse clients. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management. Prior experience in med spa or wellness center settings is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings or weekends as needed.
