Massage Therapist - Relaxation & Scalp Massage Overview Join our welcoming wellness team as a Massage Therapist! We are looking for a caring, professional, and dependable individual who is passionate about helping clients relax, release tension, and improve their overall well-being. This position focuses primarily on relaxation massage and therapeutic scalp massage. The ideal candidate creates a peaceful experience, listens carefully to each client's needs, and provides consistently excellent service in a clean and professional environment. Responsibilities Perform professional relaxation and Swedish massages customized to each client's needs. Provide scalp, head, neck, and shoulder massages designed to relieve stress and promote deep relaxation. Consult with clients before each service to understand their preferences, pressure tolerance, areas of tension, and relevant health concerns. Maintain a calm, comfortable, and welcoming treatment environment. Prepare and sanitize the treatment room before and after every appointment. Follow all hygiene, sanitation, safety, and client-privacy standards. Maintain accurate client notes and treatment records. Assist with scheduling appointments, confirming services, and recommending future sessions. Educate clients about appropriate aftercare and wellness routines. Recommend suitable spa products and service packages when appropriate. Arrive on time and work cooperatively with the reception and spa team. Requirements Valid New Jersey massage therapy license or applicable professional certification. Experience performing relaxation, Swedish, scalp, head, neck, and shoulder massage. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Professional appearance, positive attitude, and dependable work ethic. Strong knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, and massage safety protocols. Ability to adjust massage pressure and techniques according to each client's comfort and needs. Ability to create a peaceful and relaxing experience from beginning to end. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus. Experience in a spa, salon, wellness center, or aesthetic practice is preferred. Availability on weekends is a plus.
