Temporary Training Location:
Please note that this position will ultimately be based at the Fayette, AL facility. Until the facility is fully open and operational, selected candidates will be required to complete training and/or perform assigned work at a Capstone Health location in Walker County, Alabama. Additional details regarding the training location, schedule, and transition to the designated facility will be communicated during the hiring and onboarding process. Prepares patient's chart prior to clinical exam. Prepares patient for clinical exam/visit, including the collection of typical patient vital metrics (blood pressure, temperature, height, weight etc.). Assists provider with clinical visit. Follows through with post-visit duties. Injections Provides service in a manner that is appropriate for the patient's age; demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to meet the patient's physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Mentors and assists students performing clinical rotations. Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education High school diploma or equivalent. Must be Certified Medical Assistant. Experience Demonstrated knowledge of the Patient Centered Medical Home initiative. Demonstrated success with clear thinking and ability to reorganize as needed. Demonstrated success in working independently, prioritization and problem solving. Demonstrated success in organization abilities. Demonstrated success in computer skills including ability to use computer for scheduling, word documents and reasonable keyboard skills. Demonstrated success in customer service/patient services or working with the general public, preferably in a medical care facility. Demonstrated success in managing difficult customer situations Significant knowledge of medical practices and procedures in a primary care environment. Education High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a medical terminology course is desired. Medical Assistant Certification Required Experience Demonstrated success with clear thinking and ability to reorganize as needed. Demonstrated success in working independently, prioritization and problem solving. Demonstrated success in organization abilities. Demonstrated success in computer skills including ability to use computer for scheduling, word documents and reasonable keyboard skills. Demonstrated success in customer service/patient services or working with the general public, preferably in a medical care facility. Demonstrated success in managing difficult customer situations Significant knowledge of medical practices and procedures in a primary care environment. Demonstrated success and experience with direct patient services and the proper knowledge and use of medical devices and equipment.
