This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various specialties, including dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, and outpatient clinics. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including recording vital signs, medical history, and current medications using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Eclinical Works is a plus! Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures to support patient care. Manage medical documentation accurately, including updating medical records, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Support patient service by answering questions, providing instructions on procedures, and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to discharge. Conduct routine assessments of patients' physiology and anatomy knowledge to assist providers during examinations or treatments. Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to infection control protocols in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings. Experience Prior medical office experience is essential, with familiarity in medical assisting across specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, geriatrics, or surgical settings. Experience working within hospital environments or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for managing electronic health records efficiently is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is necessary to ensure readiness for emergency situations. Demonstrated competence in phlebotomy, medication administration, ICD coding, and medical documentation is preferred. Inpatient experience or clinic experience in urgent care or emergency medicine will be considered a strong asset. Pay:
