Sterilization & Clinical Support Assistant (Entry Level) A paid entry point into dentistry with structured training and a path to chairside assisting.

$22-$26/hour DOE; higher with X-ray license |

Tue-Thu plus half-day Fri |

Experience:

Not required This is a hands-on clinical support position - not a general office-cleaning job. At Calabasas Dental Spa, this team member protects patient safety and keeps the clinical day moving by making sure instruments, rooms, materials, supplies, and equipment are ready before they are needed. Dental experience is not required, and we will train the right person. We expect reliability, precision, and personal ownership from day one.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Instrument processing: Safely collect, clean, inspect, package, autoclave, label, store, and rotate instruments according to office protocols.

Infection-control records:

Complete sterilizer logs, spore-test records, waterline routines, and required checklists; report any failed cycle or exception immediately.

Operatory turnover:

Break down, disinfect, and reset rooms promptly using procedure-specific tray and setup lists.

Clinical readiness:

Prepare instruments and materials for restorative, same-day crown, iTero, and clear-aligner appointments as trained.

Supplies and equipment:

Restock rooms, check expiration dates and backstock, flag shortages, clean and lubricate handpieces, and report damaged or malfunctioning equipment. Keep treatment rooms , sterilization areas, counters, cabinets, and shared clinical spaces clean, organized, stocked, and ready.

WHAT YOU MUST BRING

Dependable attendance, punctuality, and the discipline to finish every checklist without shortcuts. Careful attention to small details and comfort following exact written and verbal instructions. A calm, professional attitude; willingness to accept coaching and ask when something is unclear. Ability to stay on your feet, move between clinical areas, and lift routine boxes and supply items safely. X-ray license preferred, or willingness to obtain one as part of your development.

TRAINING & GROWTH PATH

Structured training in infection control, procedure setups, clinical organization, and digital dentistry. Exposure to iTero and PrimeScan workflows, with added chairside duties only as training and credentials permit. Clear path toward expanded dental-assisting responsibilities and possible full-time growth. No evenings; continuing education, performance reviews, raises, paid sick leave, and paid holidays when eligible.
