In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to our healthcare team by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories, updating electronic health records (EHR), and verifying insurance information. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status accurately. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining the process clearly. Support clinical staff with phlebotomy procedures, medication administration, and specimen collection following safety protocols. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medication records within the EHR system. Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic efficiency. Ensure compliance with infection control standards, safety procedures, and confidentiality regulations at all times. Requirements Proven experience in medical assisting within an oncology or related specialty. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools for seamless patient recordkeeping. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Prior experience medical office experience is highly desirable. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in high-pressure situations. Pay:
$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
