Job Description

Position Summary The Medical Assistant will support providers and clinical staff by delivering high-quality patient care, coordinating clinical activities, and ensuring efficient daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient intake, assisting with clinical procedures, managing referrals, medication requests, and maintaining accurate clinical documentation while providing exceptional patient service. Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical Support Oversee and participate in the day-to-day clinical care of patients.
Perform patient intake activities including:
Recording vital signs Obtaining patient medical history Reviewing medications and allergies Coordinate patient care according to physician direction, company policies, and clinical protocols. Perform clinical procedures, including: Injections Ear lavages Other routine clinical procedures within scope of practice Assist providers during invasive procedures and minor surgical procedures. Monitor and maintain exam room readiness and cleanliness. Documentation & Administrative Support Maintain clinical logs, including: Exam room maintenance logs Temperature logs Other required clinic compliance records Submit electronic referrals for specialty services, diagnostic testing, and additional patient care needs. Enroll patients in the patient portal program and respond to electronic patient messages as appropriate. Process medication refill requests according to established protocols. Facilitate prior authorizations and coordinate with insurance providers when necessary. Manage inbound and outbound patient phone calls. Schedule patient appointments as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Required QualificationsEducation & Certification Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program/School, OR Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Certifications Required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association (AHA) Experience Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant or relevant clinical experienc
