Job description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Home Health office team in Victorville. This position is office-based and focuses on administrative and clinical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Position Summary The medical assistant provides non-clinical support to patients, clinical staff, and providers by facilitating various clerical and administrative tasks, depending on department assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: triage incoming calls, update and verify patient demographics, verify insurance eligibility, schedule new and missed appointments, order patient supplies, etc. This is a full-time, in-office position. Responsibilities Performs administrative, clerical, and operational tasks Provides excellent customer service to providers and patients Ensures correct demographic information is on file Schedules appointments Collects necessary forms and information prior to the start of a patient's care Verifies insurance eligibility Verify necessary documentation within a patient's chart Follow up with pending items and tasks Answer and triage incoming calls Checks tasks and messages for daily action items from providers Order medical supplies Other duties as assigned Schedule Monday- Friday 9:00AM-5:30
