Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories, vital signs, medical records and preparing chart notes.tal signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks and procedures. Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information accurately and securely. Assist with ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for billing and insurance purposes, ensuring compliance with medical coding standards. Prepare examination rooms and assist with minor procedures in outpatient setting. Maintain a clean, organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and ICD coding standards. Proven experience minimum of 2 years documented. Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and data management. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Ability to perform intake assessments, record vital signs accurately, and assist with medication and procedure instructions when necessary. Basic life support (BLS) certification to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
