Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and updating electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately and efficiently Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with safety protocols Support physicians during dermatology, emergency medicine, hospital medicine, or outpatient procedures, including OR (Operating Room) assistance when applicable Manage medical documentation meticulously, including ICD coding, medical records management, and detailed notes on patient encounters Conduct routine assessments of physiology and anatomy knowledge to assist with patient care plans effectively Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards and hospital policies Skills Extensive experience in medical office management and administrative support within busy healthcare settings Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) management tools Strong knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and physiology to ensure accurate documentation and communication Skilled in patient service techniques including intake procedures, vital signs measurement, and patient education Inpatient experience at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable; familiarity with hospital medicine and emergency medicine practices is a plus Ability to perform phlebotomy confidently along with medication administration responsibilities Knowledge of outpatient care processes across various specialties such as geriatrics or urgent care environments Excellent organizational skills for managing medical records and supporting medical office operations efficiently This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in healthcare while making a positive impact on patients' lives.
