Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Medical Assistant to support our healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, including experience in dermatology, urgent care, and hospital medicine, along with proficiency in medical administrative support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic healthcare setting while gaining valuable inpatient and outpatient experience. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and documentation of medical histories using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare examination rooms and ensure all medical supplies are stocked and properly maintained. Perform basic clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and collection of specimens in accordance with safety protocols. Support patient education by explaining procedures and providing guidance on medication usage and follow-up care. Maintain accurate medical records, including ICD coding and detailed documentation of patient encounters. Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. Adhere to infection control standards and uphold compliance with health regulations across outpatient and inpatient settings. Experience Prior experience in medical office environments with a focus on dermatology, urgent care, or hospital medicine preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding. Experience performing phlebotomy and basic life support (BLS) certification is highly desirable. Background working within hospital or Level I/II trauma centers, including inpatient units such as PICU or Geriatrics settings, is advantageous. Strong understanding of outpatient procedures, emergency medicine protocols, and electronic health records management. Previous roles involving medical assisting tasks such as vital signs collection, intake procedures, and medication administration will be considered an asset.
