The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our facility, which specializes in various medical fields including Dermatology, Internal Medicine, and Geriatrics. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, such as a Level I Trauma Center. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for their appointments by taking medical histories and recording vital signs. Manage patient records and ensure accurate coding for billing purposes. Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up appointments. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and health maintenance. Support emergency medicine procedures when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a hospital or clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding practices, and patient care protocols. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work in high-pressure situations, especially within emergency medicine contexts. A commitment to providing high-quality care to diverse patient populations.
