Looking for someone who can do an immediate start. Part time or full time okay. Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Orthopedic Medical Assistant / Front Desk professional! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face and efficient organizer of our orthopedic clinic, ensuring seamless patient experiences from check-in to treatment. Your expertise will support clinical operations, assist with patient care, and manage administrative tasks with enthusiasm and precision. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine hands-on medical assisting with front desk responsibilities in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Obtain and record vital signs, patient history, and current medications accurately to support clinical assessments Assist physicians with procedures such as injections, medication administration, phlebotomy, and basic wound care in accordance with medical protocols Manage patient documentation including medical records, clinical notes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and other essential medical documentation Schedule appointments, follow-up visits, and coordinate referrals while maintaining an organized clinic calendar Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and ensuring compliance with infection control standards Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing patient intake forms, verifying insurance details, and managing electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) efficiently Assist in hospital or clinic settings with inpatient or outpatient care procedures when necessary, including vital signs monitoring and patient transport coordination Qualifications Proven experience in medical office support or medical assisting within orthopedic or related specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and data management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in diverse healthcare environments including hospital medicine or emergency medicine settings Familiarity with hospital experience or Level I/II trauma center procedures is advantageous Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding orthopedic care combined with exceptional administrative support.
