Medical Assistant:

The Medical Assistant is an integral part of the client's service team. You will have the ability to use an electronic medical record for chart review and telehealth appointments, develop supportive relationships with clients, interact with clients in order to assess needs, obtain vital signs, complete PAs, coordination of medical and psychiatric care with clients' support network ( e.g. family members, other service providers), active collaboration with other agencies to coordinate client treatment, liaison with local pharmacies to fill prescriptions for clients' medications, and prepare lab requests and obtain results Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Managing Provider Schedules Provider Visit Prep Prior Authorizations Obtaining Medical Records / communicating with community providers Answering phones Rooming Patients Performing vital signs Engaging with the EHR Submitting Referrals Other duties as identified by programmatic need

REQUIRMENTS

Certified or Registered Medical Assistant 1 year experience in a medical/clinical practice required Experience with Prior Authorizations preferred Medication Administration (MAP) Certifications preferred CPR and First Aid Certificate, preferred Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
