Job Description

Department Summary We are seeking a Clinical Assistant for our Weymouth multidisciplinary satellite. Our Weymouth location offers more than 48 pediatric specalities and services including MRI, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and a pulmonary function lab. The same pediatric specialists who practice at Boston Children's main campus in Boston practice in Weymouth. Key Responsibilities Assisting patients on obtaining vital signs, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature, pulse and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of unit. Scheduling, receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments or procedures. Collecting, verifying and recording required information according to established procedures and instructions. Identifying and reporting unusual findings or changes in patient condition to Registered Nurse. Obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems. Answering, screening and routing telephone calls and performing general office support tasks. Assisting clinician during examinations (i.e. obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, and performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic). Transporting patients, supplies and equipment as needed. Monday-Friday, 8 hour shifts. Flexibility within the hours of 730a-530p. Minimum Qualifications Education HS Diploma or equivalent required. Experience 1 year Clinical Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred. Ambulatory experience preferred.
