Clinic Manager / Lead Provider About Us Stiles Family Practice is a small, community-based health care clinic located in Mars Hill, Maine. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate primary care for patients ages 18 and older. Position Summary The Medical Assistant at Stiles Family Practice supports our providers in delivering efficient, patient-centered care. This position includes a balance of clinical and administrative duties in a fast-paced, family-oriented setting. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys being an integral part of a small, dedicated healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties:
Greet and prepare patients for examinations, recording accurate vital signs and patient histories Assist providers during patient exams and procedures Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens (blood, urine, etc.) Maintain and sterilize instruments, exam rooms, and medical equipment Follow proper infection control, safety, and confidentiality protocols
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments and manage check-in/check-out processes Update and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) Handle patient phone calls, prescription refill requests, and referrals Support billing and documentation processes as needed Provide patient education and assist with follow-up communication
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Certification
REQUIRED
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent)
Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or family practice preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with EHR systems Compassionate, patient-centered attitude Ability to multitask and work effectively in a small team environment Work Environment Small, close-knit clinic serving the Mars Hill community and surrounding areas Regular patient contact in a family practice setting Must be flexible and comfortable assisting with a wide range of tasks Compensation & Schedule Part-time position 9-2:30pm with the flexibility to cover the receptionists vacations and days off that are needed.
