Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) Full-Time | Garden City, MI About Us Associates in Medical Specialties, P.C. is a small internal medicine practice dedicated to providing compassionate, quality care in a welcoming environment. We are a professional, supportive, and collaborative workplace where our team members are valued and patients receive quality care. We're seeking a dependable, compassionate Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our team. Position Summary The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team. Working under the direct supervision of the provider, you will perform both clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities Greet patients and escort them to examination rooms Interview patients and obtain medical histories Measure and record vital signs Verify current medications and document information in eClinicalWorks (EMR) Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist the physician during examinations and treatments Perform venipuncture and collect specimens for laboratory testing Perform EKGs Obtain prior authorizations for prescriptions Provide patient education and follow-up instructions Maintain accurate medical documentation Communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and staff Participate in staff meetings, required training, and continuing education Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail Professional, calm, and courteous demeanor while handling multiple tasks Knowledge of medical terminology and correct grammar usage Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA standards Excellent attendance and punctuality Preferred Previous Medical Assistant experience Experience with eClinicalWorks electronic medical records Work Schedule Full-Time (Approximately 40 hours per week)

PM Friday:
8:00 AM•12:30 PM No evenings, weekends, or major holidays.
