This position works closely with our advanced practice providers in support of daily patient care, with the opportunity to cross-train in pre and post operative support on procedure days. Certification is preferred; on site training is available for the right candidate. Duties Prepare charts ahead of visits by confirming paperwork, retrieving outside records, and requesting outstanding orders and results Room patients: vitals, medical history, medication reconciliation, and screening tools per protocol Start the visit note and report your findings to the provider Review procedure, medication, and home-care instructions with patients Set up and assist with Botox injections, including consents, supplies, and medication prep, and manage Botox ordering, storage, and handling Assist the provider during ultrasound-guided procedures Submit medication prior authorizations through payer portals and track them to resolution Process urine drug screens and run MAPS reports per protocol Cross-train to assist in pre- and post-op as backup coverage on procedure days Assist with administrative duties as needed Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy Experience with electronic health records and clinical documentation Strong organization, communication, and attention to detail Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program; CMA or RMA certification preferred
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
