Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering quality and compassionate patient care. Working under the supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform administrative and clinical tasks to support patient examinations, procedures, and overall care. What You Will Do Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment. Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed. Perform clinical tasks to support ambulatory patient care. Utilize EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) to maintain patient documentation. What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a 160-hour clinical externship, or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description. Current BLS-C certification upon hire or by the end of orientation. Preferred Qualifications Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience. Apply now and be part of our dedicated team at Henry Ford Health! Qualifications Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hour minimum). OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five (5) years. OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical medical assisting. OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years. OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in clinical medical setting within the past five (5) years.
