Join an innovative workforce dedicated to providing evidence-based, integrated mental health care. Montcalm Care Network is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant. Under the supervision of the Integrated Health Services Manager (or Access/Crisis Services Manager), the Medical Assistant creates a welcoming environment while providing scheduling and medical care supports to persons with severe/persistent mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or serious emotional disturbances who receive psychiatric, nursing, or other health care services. Medical Assistants serve multiple functions including the provision of psychotropic injectable medications, taking vital signs, performing health screens with new patients, scheduling, and ensuring medication pre-authorizations. MAs also promote preventative care and self-management health care strategies, mental health recovery, wellness, and full participation within the community for consumers in a manner where practice is trauma informed, co-occurring capable, person/family centered and integrated with other health care providers. MAs work alongside our psychiatric and nurse practitioner staff, ensuring quality care to persons with serious mental illness and developmental disabilities. Ideal candidates are experienced in providing injections and work well in a fast paced, team-based atmosphere.
Employment Qualifications:
Education:
Possession of a high school diploma and Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant in the
State of MI Experience:
One years' experience working in the medical field. May need experience and training in one or more of the identified specialty populations of children with SED, persons with DD, adults with SMI, the elderly, persons with co-occurring substance use disorders or complex medical conditions.
Other Requirements:
Possession of a valid State of Michigan Driver License. Must be supervised by a qualified mental health and Registered Nurse.

Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Schedule:
Monday•Friday 8:00 a.m.•4:30 p.m., occasional early evening hours to meet the needs of families.
Salary Range:
$19.10•$26.75 hourly
